SCIENTIFIC TEAM LEADER:
Prof. Gianni Bussolati

Validation of diagnostic consensus criteria; validation and standardisation of alternative immunohistochemical and molecular techniques in paraffin embedded archival tissues (PCR-based methods for DNA and RNA analysis, real time PCR, FISH, in situ hybridization) and definition of new molecular protocols in tissues fixed with new procedures developed in the consortium; definition of tissue banking procedures and bioethics.
